If you're from the United States and interested in going to school in Canada, make sure you understand the differences in terminology (university vs. college vs. community college) between the two countries. What we call community colleges in the U.S., Canada calls technical or career colleges. Universities in Canada generally offer 4-year degrees and colleges in Canada are usually equivalent to our junior or community colleges. You can find out more in the "Finding Your School" page on the www.usstudentstocanada website. There are also links to universities and colleges in Canada on the site. If the school you're interested in is recognized the U.S. Department of Education, you'll be eligible for the Stafford Student Loan. The recognition also is a good indication that the campus provides a solid education. Have fun and enjoy the ride!
