3x^2+11x+10=0
the trick is that u take the coefficient of x^2 which is 3 in this case and you take the constant term, multiply these two= 3*10
=30
now factorise 30 such that the two factors sum upto the coefficient of x which is 11
so the factors 6 & 5 of 30 sum upto 11 i.e. 6*5=30 & 6+5=11
3x^2+6x+5x+10=0
3x(x+2)+5(x+2)=0
taking x+2 common from both terms
(x+2)(3x+5)=0
so, x+2=0 & 3x+5=0
x=-2 & x=-5/3

3x^2 + 11x + 10 = 0
(3x + 5) (x +2) = 0

3x + 5 = 0
3x = - 5
x = - 5/3

x + 2 = 0
x = - 2

Answer: x = - 5/3, x = - 2

3x^2+11x+10=0

(3x+5)(x+2)=0
3x+5=0 or x+2=0
x= - 5/3 or x= - 2
or do you only need it factored?
