Mike stanton is chasing an all-time record?

Jesse Orosco's all time apperance record (1251 games.)

Stanton has 1166. Who thinks he can break it?

He just turned 40. He isn't getting any better, but Orosco played from 79-03, Stanton has played from 89- Present. (If he plays as long as Orosco, he will play until 2013. I doubt he will play that long.)

Will Mike Stanton break the all time game appearance record (by a pitcher)?

He's a southpaw, so as along as he can find the strike zone, someone will give him a job. So, really, it's up to him. If he wants it, he can do it.

Probably take him until 2009 though.

I do not see it happening, Orosco was still able to get guys out regularly at the end and Stanton is slipping fast, he could give it a few more years because the side he throws from but I just do not see it, although the Devil Rays and Royals would probably let him stay on long enough so it is possible.
