75 million died, so I guess at least several 100million survived, seeing as Europe still had the majority of its population. Who do you consider "in word war 2"? Japan invaded China. Does that mean that we should count the hundreds of millions of Chinese alive at the time? Since it was a world war that went everywhere short of Australia and South America, perhaps we should count most of the world population...

Well, I was too young to fight, but I did survive. We may have had to do without things like sugar, cream, butter or some meats, because, it was used to for the feeding of the troops.
And we got a ration card for gasoline so you could not get all you wanted. There was only enough to get you to work.

all of the world did survived in a sense apart from those dead on battle fields. Check with " Save Private Ryan"-a film.Now grown old he was at the cemetry of his those are no longer alive and he put a question to his wife or mother!.
