Yes. However, he plays on the Yankees, which means that he will always be playing in someone else's shadow. Too bad, because he's developed into a premier second baseman.

I would not say underrated, more under the radar of the others he plays with. He also is not at his full potential yet, most teams would give their right arm for him. He has more potential than most 2B in the league. It will be his team in a few years. I would say right now he is a good player, not a "great" player or an elite player but he is also very young. Utley was not "great" his first two years but the past two he has been great.

Playing along side of Alex and Derek and the current cast of Yankees he kind of goes under the radar. He has developed into one of the better hitting 2nd basemen in the AL. His fielding is also much improved. He'll get noticed when he becomes a free agent.

He's probably the most underrated second baseman in all of baseball. Just look at his statline. Its hard to give him the praise he deserves because of the people around him. You can't talk too much about him when he's got A-Rod and Jeter to his side.

He gets overlooked because he shares the infield with A-Rod and Jeter. He really can't be underrated though. He's on the Yankees.

He's slightly underrated, but considering the Yankees and who's on the roster, it's not surprising that he is slightly underrated.

I wouldn't call him great, but he's definitely a very good player. I think many people realize this, but he gets lost in the shuffle because he's on a team loaded with all-stars. He's also very young, so he has a chance to get even better, and I'm sure most of us would love to have him on our team.
He might be unappreciated in that Yankees lineup, but I don't think he's underrated by most serious fans. We realize he's a very good player - and feel free to trade him to Toronto anytime! We could use him!

I think you are right. I think people are so used to hearing about A-Rod and Jeter that they forget about everyone else on the team.
