check out the book by ex-guitar player of korn, brian welch, entitled "save me from myself." there is a part in a chapter in the book where he describes the same problem that you have. after consulting pastors and various friends, he ended up laughing at the problem (citing it as demonic activity) in the chapter and told the demon that he was with jesus now. according to the book, that did the trick.

i have done this too....i was so scared! now i hear that my sister does it has well...apparently there is a genetic link. i do it when im really tired or over stressed. used to lay there calling for help but no-one could hear me....eyes open but body asleep.....it occurs apparently due to being in a dream state and u are awoken in that mode the body is still paralysed because the subconscious and conscious dont communicate. the solution.....go back to sleep for few minutes usually sorts it out!

Why do people persist in asking and giving medical advise via this medium If you have a medical problem seek medical help from a medical professional in person (no I'm not one)
