i am always making small talk with people. It just passes the time of day and also if you can make someone smile, then it makes them happier for the rest of the day.

Yes I do but on one occasion it was so embarrassing I started talking to a little girl standing with her Mother,I was chatting away and trying to include the Mum in the conversation.Although she smiled and nodded I couldn't understand why she wasn't saying anything but didn't have the sense to shut up and kept rabbiting on .About 5 minutes later they were joined by another lady and then they all started talking to each other and yes, you've guessed it they were talking in a foreign language ! I might have cottoned on if they had not been white.I came to the conclusion that they were Eastern European and we don't get a lot of them where I live so it never entered my head !

I'm assuming you mean public transportation, not a school bus right?
Alot of people usually start conversations with me wherever I go, but it's not always a good thing. There have been some creepy guys that think since you're nice and smile that they can stalk you (or try to hurt you) be careful!!

I only really make conversation with someone if they start talking to me! :D I think it would be too much hassle not to...especially if the person becomes aggressive if you don't answer back. Just grin and bare it...I say! 9 times out of 10 they arent getting on your bus anyway...so you never have to see them again.
Word of warning though....if they ask you what bus your gettin on...quickly change the subject!

Yes I Do..
I Say Hey Whats The Time?
And Then They'll Either Say The Time Or They'll ignore me.
and then i say now where are you travelling to..
and the conversation sets off from there.
Normally elderly people are easiest to talk to,..
im only 12 :)

I try not to, but the weirdos always manage to filter me out from the rest and start the most random conversations with me. I try, hard, to be polite and nod, tut, ooh, aah, in all the right places all the while begging the bus driver to put his foot down and hurry up. Which of course never happens.

Sometimes I do; especially if the weather is bad; Lots of rain or thunder . Especially scares the elderly. I will engage them in conversation about almost anything to get their minds over the thunder which scares the heck out of them.
