Hey. All these years of watching cartoons and always seeing these objects I never thought of actually finding out about them but decided I would now. Wanna know why these things are always brighter or somehow stand out more than anything else around when there going to be touched, moved, picked up, etc. Anyone know?

From what I understand - they often use a different palatte than the background. This to make the action stand out and draw your attention.
