This is very easy

5x = 1000
So x = 1000/5
x = 200

x=200

5x = 1000

divide 5x by 5 to get x
divide 1000 by 5 to get 200

x is equal to 200

I assume you are actually asking how to solve x^5 = 1000.

Ans:
Power both sides by (1/5),
(x^5)^(1/5) = 1000^(1/5).
By laws of indices of (x^m)^n = x^(mn),
therefore x = 1000^(1/5) (answer)

x^ 5 = 1000

Another way to solve is with logarithms.

5 log x = log 1000

5 log x = 3

log x = 3/5 = 0.6

x = 3.981
.
