Wish I could help, but I wouldn't know what you're feeling or what's motivating you to do this.

I used to have the same problem about 12 years ago. When I was really really sad or mad inside, I would cut myself so I could feel the pain on the outside. I just wanted to see how bad I felt inside, how deeply I could cut myself. I haven't cut myself in 10 years but it's because I learned to redirect my negative energy into other things. Like when I was mad - I signed up for a self defense class so I could scream as loud as I wanted and learn how to protect myself in case of the worse... So essentially I was doing something positive but it helped me get out that negative energy (because I was hitting pads that my classmates were holding, pretty much as hard as possible while I yell at the same time... GOOD STUFF). When I was sad I would write poetry - It helped me release the sadness that I felt I had inside without harming my body, which is a gift... You are loved and you are beautiful. There are so many cool things in life that you can do to help you get past this. Good luck to you. Sincerely, Robin

Your not crazy. Tell your psychiatrist or doctor and they can give you medication. Another thing that might help is going to a Mental Hospital for a while. It helped my best friend. When you feel the urge to cut, lie down, take a deep breath, and relax until the feeling is gone. Take up a hobby, like, music, or art. I don't know if I helped, but I hope you get better!
Oh, and the first step to recovery, is admitting to your self that there is a problem. And, when you have the urge to cut, remove your self from an area the has sharp objects. Don't pick up the objects and move them because, well, that would not be good

1. Find out why you are cutting yourself
2. Find out what situations or circumstances cause you to cut yourself
3. Find other healthy ways to replace that cutting. It's gonna take awhile to get over this habit.

i think people shouldn't let depression get to them,i'm not saying i don't get depressed about things sometimes but i don't think it's worth hurting yourself.first of all what happened to you to make you so depressed, you don't need to let things bother you so much.....not that i'm telling you what to do or anything, keep in mind i'm just trying to help. You know something maybe you just need to find a hobby,if you hang around poeple who are like that, then get away from them.i'm sorry for what you're going through, but the only person who can fix it is God.........remember this, too,HE loves you and will NEVER stop.

You really should seek out professional help. Consulting your family doctor or local health unit would be a good start.
Don't be ashamed or afraid to get help; you're not the only person in the world that has this problem.

Try to look at the glass half full. Don't think about the negatives. If you are feeling down, try listening to screaming music. You will feel the adrenalin from that and then it should wear you out. If you end up cutting yourself again, try listening to more positive music. There are better things to do than cut yourself. Go outside or read or something.

No, you`re not crazy or need to go to the asylum, but you do need help. If you`re asking for help of this bad habit, then find it at the right places....a family Dr. for starters.

Well, usually people do this as a release of pain, anger, negative feelings. So....it sounds like you need a new outlet or hobby to take the place of the "thing" and someone that you feel like you can confide in about what's bothering you.

Well my sister use to do that as well and I never undersood why until I started reading about it and on depression from which my sister and I both suffer from and the one thing that I think you could do instead of cutting yourself you could take a rubber band and put it around your wrist and anytime you think about cutting yourself snap the rubber band as hard as you can against your skin, hope that helps.
