It sure is!! I have more than doubled my income. I have more money invested. I have fewer bills (and they are easier to pay). I can do more things in my free time.

I make more money. But all the other stuff is about the same or a little better. It just depends on how you look at it. 10 years ago, I didn't have a house, 3 kids, a wife, or 2 cars. Now I have to pay for all that. But at the same time, with career and salary advancement, I can afford to pay for it. I also have more money, because when the 1st kid was born, I quit drinking. So yeah, my quality of life is better, but there is still the fact that you have to take of everything and it sometimes brings you down. But just think, running home and see those smiling little faces, makes everything good.

Yes! About 10 years ago I was $40K in unsecured debt and had no savings. Now, I have no debt and a fat retirement account and no mortgage! Praise God!

Work ok.

But better today in terms of convenience, worse in terms of spending habits and increasing expectations
