This is when I first noticed my weight gain (or an gigantic increase in it). Don't stress, because you are supposed to gain weight! At least you know the baby is healthy and you are healthy as well. I can tell you this: I am 30 weeks today and went to the doc 2 days ago, I had lost 4 pounds. As much as I had been freaking out about my weight gain (I also weighed 115 before pregnancy) I was way more freaked about my weight loss. I went directly to the steak house that night and ate and ate and ate! As long as you are gaining weight there is nothing to worry about. I figure, even if I were to gain 50 pounds, at least I know that my legs work and I can do plenty of exercise once I have my baby and feel up to it. I weighed almost exactly the same as you at 26 weeks. There is nothing wrong with gaining this much at all! You are supposed to gain between 10 and 12 pounds in your last trimester...so don't be concerned if you gain more. The way that I do it, is I tell myself that I will eventually weigh at least 30-40 pounds more than prepregnancy weight in my 9th month. It gets me by and lets me know what to expect. I know that it is uncomfortable, but all of us are in some way.

Ah, yes. See, I didnt' gain a single pound utnil after 4 months. And then it was slow utnil into the third treimester...and then all of the sudden BAM. I gained like 20 lbs in the last 6 weeks.
If your diet is reasonable there's no reason to think every pound of that is actual fat-- the baby may have grown more than usual (they do that as you get further) or you may have gained a lot of water weight.
In the 2 weeks after my daughter was born, I was losing 2-5 lbs PER DAY. My legs and ankles and even hands had been swelling with water weight and it just melted off incredibly fast. I was only left with about 20 lbs out of SIXTY that were actual fat.

It happens to everyone. at the 5 month mark you have 50% more blood in your body, much more amnitotic fluid then before, and a larger baby. Plus, your body holds water, and stores extra fat for surviving nursing post delivery.
Perfectly normal. There is no "right on target" with pregnancy weight gain, its whatever your body decides it needs. If you're active, eat healthy and only when hungry, then you're fine.
Iam 5' 7" and went from 126 to 170 while pregnant. Thats WAAAAY more than normal. But i lost it after baby came.
Dont stress it.

With my 2nd pregnancy, i didn't start gaining weight til i was 23 weeks...i went from 102lbs to 110lbs and dr said it was ok. then i came back for the next month and i gained 5 lbs n my ob said it was too much soo i had to cut back on my eating habits..such as sweet stuff. Then i came back for my 31 week check up and i gained 11 lbs. And the OB n nurses were shocked that i gained so much, they said it was water weight and that i should really watch what i eat.

It's good you are gaining. It would be more worrisome if you were losing, right? Anyway, the best advice that I could give you is make sure you are eating a diet full of nutrition and not junk food typed items with a lot of sugar and fat because those things will just PILE on to your body! Good Luck! If you are already doing those things, then you are okay.

When I read the issues people have Shedding fat it reminds me of the endless years I spent switching from one diet to another without seeing any results until I saw Dianas miracle cure (just type it into google). It really changed my life because it was so simple and I starting seeing results really quickly. I have still kept the weight off. I simply had to share it with you because it is very different and you wont regret it. Just google it and you will see what Im talking about. Take care everybody and never, ever give up.
