Determine what's causing the confliction.
If it's forgiveness you need... ask for it.
If you need to forgive yourself... do it.
The first step is action and it can only be done on your part. People can advise you and advise you; but until you take the first step and make the choice to do something about it, you won't find what you are seeking.
Up until recently, I did have a lot of turmoil going on with myself. I finally let it go. I do still have some of my insecurities, but I think even the most confident of people has their insecurities too.
I found peace through something I am very interested in and it has helped me on a more spiritual level.
Maybe that could be something you can look into as well. Look inside yourself and find what passions of interest you have. Learn more about those interests... you never know what you'll find.

Peace is not of the mind. You have observed that the mind is in constant conflict with itself. Watch the thoughts and you will come to see You are not the thoughts. This is the beginning of Peace. It is beyond the boundaries of mind.

peace of mind for me is not stressing and worrying about things I cant control. I try to see the good in any situation.
letting go and seeing the beauty that IS around us (if we look)feels like peace of mind to me.
