Not necessary. The current form of governance is appropriate enough.

Property holders control the media. The government protects the interests of property holders. Why? because the media is instrumental in the electoral process. Property owners do not need to be briefed on what to do or which candidates to back up because the options are made clear by a strict two party system

You see, Orwell's imagination was on the right track. American capitalism though, has out done him. The ministry of information is not necessary when the property owners can control the media, the arms industry and the government from the secrecy of corporate boardrooms.

I thought that had happened already. It amazes me they all report the news in the same manner. I believe they are given a sheet everyday telling them what to report and how to report it. And what they aren't allowed to report. Free Press has been a joke for awhile now.
