How often do you DIY?

hmmm well I think this was my category of choice on the "other place"

I would have to say at least once a day...I like to keep the pipes clean. I'm a big fan of DIY plumbing.

Mostly when it's enjoyable, satisfying, and not too much work.

Aboard a Navy ship, Captain Richter approached Ensign Wilkens and Ensign Barker discussing sex.

Ensign Wilkins asked Captain Richter,
"Captain, Sir. We're having a discussion about sex. Ensign Barker thinks it's 60% work and 40% pleasure. I say it's

"I think you're both wrong. I'd say 50,50. Lets ask the Seaman over there"."

Seaman Bonkers was a short distance away, swabbing the deck.

Captain Richter yelled, "Bonkers, come over here!"
Saluting and standing at attention, Bonkers replied,
"Yes Sir"?

"At ease, Bonkers. We're having a discussuin about sex.
Barker, here, says it's 60% work and 40% pleasure.
Wilkins, here, says it's 40% work and 60% pleasure.
I say it's 50,50."

"What say you, Bonkers"?
"Well, Sir. With all due respect. If there was any work involved, you'd have me doing it".

At least once a day..sometimes twice. Sometimes I DIY and then get help for the second time. Having someone else help is always more satisifying..but DIY isn't bad.

Every day. After 2 years of building our own home, satisfying has turned into thankful that one more project is done.

I like to fix up around the house at least once a day. I actually can get the job done quicker when I do it myself. It is also cheaper than hiring a perfessional, plus with pros you never know what they will leave behind.
and it is just a job for them, no passion in their work. You can get a friend to help, but somtimes there work is just unsatisfying and then of course your obligated to do some work for them which could stink..

I've trained my girlfriend to do a couple of things around the house, like weed whacking, she knows how to nail things, and she knows un clog the plumbing.

i'm paying rent for my house and my landlord is one of the most richest man where i live,and as far as fixing anything in my house,i have to do it or get my oldest brother to do providing i buy the stuff to do it with.whatever i have to do to my house my landlord will not refund my money back to me.so what i done to him was a favor.He had the insurance man to come over at the begining of summer and i heard someone outside and i went to find out who it was,and he told me he was the house insurance man..oh ok,well while you're here check the back porch out,before we had install the boards on the back porch,there was nothing but torn screen on it and they was a vent for central air and heat to come thru and when he checked that out,i know then that hte value of this house went way downhill.So instead of bothering my landlord on fixing things we do it ourselves,that way its done right.
