Having breastfed my four kids and also being a dd cup before feeding hence even bigger after I found that you really can't lie down and feed in bed with babies because you are so right there is the risk of suffocation which is very real. If you can sit up in a lounge chair with a pillow under whichever arm is holding the baby as she is feeding and you will find that it helps you stay alert while you are feeding. A rocking chair is also a good option too. I know its hard for you at the moment having to wake up to feed every 2 hrs but as she gets older she will feed less often during the night and you will be getting some more normal sleep again. Why don't you check with your local breastfeeding association they will be able to give you some really good advice as well. All the best and enjoy your little one as they grow so very fast. :)

I work at a desk all day on a PC so I've been to the point that I'm so tired then I open my eyes and see tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
all across my computer screen where I've pressed a key and fell asleep... I usually get up and walk around for a minute when that starts to happen.. :P

Nope. I've got to be horizontal before I can get to sleep. Can't even sleep while sitting in a chair or in a recliner. Gotta be horizontal.

It is possible. It doesn't depend on the particular person, it does depend, however, on how long they have been deprived of sleep as to whether or not they need something to lean on. *4u!

Yep! I know someone who does it all the time. He can fall asleep anywhere, and under any conditions.

In the Army, I found out that I could sleep anywhere. Sometimes with my eyes open.

Yes, especially if you are taking sleep meds. Then you fall over and scare the cr@p out of yourself and do it all over again. :)
