Ovulation occurs sometime between 10-16 days before your next period starts. Figure out how long your cycles typically are and when your next period is due. Count back 16 days from when your next period is due and start having intercourse every other day for a week or so. This should ensure that sperm are present when the egg is released.

Without charting or using okp's or looking at your cm you are kind of shooting in the dark. Ideally your ovulation date should be in the middle of your cycle but not in all cases. They say a woman with a 28 day cycle should ovulate around days 12-16 with ovulation most like occuring on day 14. I have a 28 day cycle and found out through charting I ovulate closer to day 18 or 19. You want to plan intercourse starting about 4 days before ovulation. You will most likely not get pregnant after ovulation occurs because your egg will live about 12 hours. However sperm lives around 3 days inside a woman so you have a fertile period of about a week. I would say you can just wing it for a few months and if that doesn't work try charting and opk's to help determine ovulation so you can time intercourse accordingly. We wasted 10 months winging it before I got advice from my doctor. Now we are in our 14th month ttc and this is my 4rth cycle charting. Also read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertiltiy". My doctor recommended it and it was great.

First of all there is only about 5 days in every month that you can actually concieve and only 2 days of that are the strongest. You can ask a doctor find out when the most likely time for you would be. Now I do know for a fact that it is the first 5 days immediatley after your period. it is not 2 weeks after your period ends, that is not correct. First of all I have 4 kids so I know when I concieved, and also when you get pregnant that is how they determine the due date is from your last menstrual cycle and your due date will end up being 9 months later within 5 to 7 days of when your last period ended depending on how long your periods last. The reason why you are most fertile right at the end of your period is because that is when there is a fresh egg in there. As the month goes on the egg starts to deteriorate and then eventually sheds out of your body as your period. That is why if you get pregnant is normally happens within the first few days your period is over. I got pregnant with all 4 of my kids on like the very last day of my period where I may have even been slightly still spotting, or the day after my period stopped.

hi sweetie- well you are most fertile on the 14th day from the start of your period. (but all woman are diff) so you could actually ovulated on the 19th day. You have to chart your own CM and basal temps to find out when you would ovulate. Than have sex before than, on the most fertile day and a few days after. And hopefully you will concieve! ;) also, start taking your prenatal vitamins! before, during and after! Good Luck and I hope I helped a little!

Your fertile period is the time during which having sexual intercourse could lead to a pregnancy. Begin counting on the first day of your menstrual period. Women normally ovulate about 14 days from the first day of their period, although this varies considerably from woman to woman. Your fertile period starts about 4-5 days before ovulation, and ends about 24-48 hours after it. This is because sperm can live in your body for approximately 4 to 7 days, and the egg can live for 24 to 48 hours after being released. You are most fertile on the days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. Knowing your fertile days can help you increase your chances of getting pregnant, as well as avoid an unwanted pregnancy.

It's clearly important to keep track of the start of your menstrual periods. But it is also helpful to know exactly when, and if, you ovulate, rather than simply rely on the 14-day rule. An easy, although somewhat costly method is to use a do-it-yourself ovulation kit, available over the counter, which enables you to predict your ovulation by measuring the LH surge in an early morning urine sample. This method uses a specially designed dipstick that changes color when the levels of LH increase. When your LH surges it is likely that ovulation will occur in the next 24-36 hours, so it is advisable to have intercourse during this time.

Many women chart their basal body temperatures in order to get a better fix on their fertile periods. When you are ovulating, your basal body temperature should rise for a few days. Your peak fertile period occurs on the days just before this rise. If you are a good record-keeper, you may want to consider this method.

Yet another method for checking your fertile period is to check for changes in your cervical mucus, as well as changes in the feel, shape and position of your cervix. About three to five days before ovulation, as estrogen levels rise, the cervical mucus becomes clear and stretchy and the amount increases. This fertile mucus turns the vaginal fluids alkaline, which helps keep sperm alive and nourished and allows healthy sperm to travel forward. The position, feel, and shape of your cervix also changes to allow for the easy passage of sperm.

Well, day 1 of your period is counted as day 1. You are most fertile just before ovulation, which is at about day 14.

If i am proper within the final 2 weeks earlier than her period (As this is when the egg mobilephone settles within the uterus). Although much less fashioned, it is viable for a woman to come to be pregnant throughout her period.

Sometime about mid-way between periods is when you ovulate - say days 11-16 of your cycle. That's your most fertile time, generally.

well, you need to at least find out when you ovulate....it can be up to 2 wks after your period....it depends on your cycle, and you as a person. Do some research as to the best way to determine your ovulation cycle
