what benefit to him would it be? What do visits to states accomplish-nothing. A bunch of mean nothing, change nothing press conferences. Believe me, all he'll do is spew the same talking points that he does at every other visit(It's what politicians do) They'll brief him on his car ride to the venue and he'll parrot back, shake a few hands, hop back into the car, onto a plane and that's it. Nothing will be accomplished. Plus all they'll do when he's there is talk bad about him. It benefits him in no way and will actually harm him because it will give an opportunity to talk about his visit and the media will only trash his visit. so.....that's why.

Isn't Vermont the state that's trying to secede from the Union? If that's the case, Bush probably wouldn't dare try to come in contact with people who are intelligent, brave and independent enough to stand up to a tyrannical and oppressive governance. They'd probably run him out of town on a rail, tar and feather him, and tell him never to come back to their beautiful state ever again! Visiting Vermont could create conditions for another American Revolution! Bush only likes to go where he has 'control', can keep protesters and anti-war demonstrators out of camera-range, and can garner enough crowds to make it look like there's a groundswell of support for his insane, immoral, illegal, unconstitutional 'war'. -RKO- 08/23/07

HMMMMM. Free thinking state. Independent Senator. 3-4 electoral votes. No big donors. Mainly Democrat elected officials. No direct flights from Texas. No family estates there.

I'll be there over the weekend. I give you a few more reasons.

In order to visit Vermont, he would have to find it on a map. Find it? He couldn't even spell it.
