I would never spell out DJ or MC. There really isn't any thing to spell out. These are abbreviations. MC= master of ceremonies/ microphone controller... DJ = disc jockey. I would say people that spell it out just don't have a clue. I was a club dj for 10 yrs if you need references.

Why not just write out what the letters stand for, i.e., Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremonies. Spelling out the sounds of letters seems a bit pretentious.

I presume those are not English words.Thus,they are shortened by their first letters.
