I hate to pay $1.80 per scout for the felt insignia tab; does anyone have a pattern for these?

Unless you are making them for the troop, it is less expensive just to buy the GSUSA tab. If you are making them as a project, go to Joanne fabric or your favorite yard goods store and buy a brown felt craft sheet. Pick up some of the flat 1 inch jewelry pins as well.

Start with a rectangle of felt 3 3/4 inches long by 1 1/4 inch wide.

Cut a point of 45 degrees on one end of the strip to form a point on the tab.

Take one of the jewelry pins and fold the cloth over the pin and sew or glue in place.

The Brownie pin goes on the bottom, the universal pin above.

They didn't license them for a pattern. I'm afraid you'll have to get theirs.
