Have you kept in contact with the father? Does he know he has a child? Did you know this guy before the one night stand?

I think he needs to know that he has a child and let him be involved if he wants to, one night stand or not he should help support the baby financially. I wouldn't necessarily think you'd want to get romantically involved with him but getting in touch with him for the sake of the child is fine.

I would tell the guy that you have a son and you think or know it is his. And then the him make the choice rather or not he wants to be in his sons life. Cause if you don't then your son is going to grow up and find out about it and think that you tried to keep him from his daddy. So I would let the guy know whats going on and then the ball is in his court. If he wants a DNA test don't argue with him give it to him cause you have to see it from his point of view you know. Well good luck bye!!!!!

Does the one-night stand know about this child? I think it would be a good idea as long as all parties are consenting. You certainly don't want to bring the child around if the one night stand isn't

1. aware of the child's existence

2. if he is mean, uncooperative, or unwilling to see the child

You should talk to the one night stand first (without the child present) and lead him up to it. Then go with your instincts!

your son will eventually seek his father. kids want to know who their daddy is. so it's your responsibility to inform the person.
