I think they're inviting you to join the History Channel Club.

The magazine that's published about six times a year is worth the membership by itself. You also get discounts on things you order from the History Channel and news about various tours and such.

Quite honestly, I've been very happy with my membership--to the point that, when invited to turn it over to a Life Membership, I did so.

John if you are from India and have an address in India, I would suggest you to check few times before you take up membership or subscribership for this magazine. I guess there are media companies who subscribe people, but the agents do not deliver it in time or they skip issues. Which will take your interest out of reading this magazine. And you lose your money as well.

But if you belong to some other country I do not know what is the status of the deliveries and promises.

But certainly, subscribing for such books are really very good and informative and source is almost authentic in most of the cases.

Take care you do not end up with fraudulent e-mails.
