Some gave it a thumb's down. But I love this place, There are always a wide range of prices. From a salad or something light to appetizers and a full, hearty meal.
It's a perennial favorite for birthday parties.
It, too, is in the mall.

Well in Boston there's a million places!!! I'm not really sure about Providence. In Boston you could try Grotto in the Back Bay. It's amazing, and really good food but is a LITTLE pricey. Cheaper, you could try Ned Devines. They have great food, and it's a lot of fun because on Friday and Saturday nights it's a cool bar to hang out in. There's also Finale which is fun because it's basically all desserts, and they have a few locations around the city. Tremont 647 is in South Boston, and is very hip and trendy right now. They have some outdoor seating which is always cool to people watch. There's also Joe's American Bar and Grill at the waterfront. Of course, this is a chain place, so you'll know exactly what food to expect, but on the waterfront location it's really pretty and fun. If you like bar food I would say try Whiskey's on Boylston Street or the Sunset Grill in Allston. . .. Those are a wide variety of places, but just some of my favorites that spring to mind. Have a great time!

In PVD. There is a great place called Fire & Ice. You walk around a bar and pick fresh ingrediants, pick some AMAZING dipping sauces, then walk up to another bar with a 15 foot long oval grill in the middle where your meal is prpared. The art-deco desgin makes a great visual expierence to compliment oyur meal. In Boston, try Jasper WHites Summer Shack. It's some of the best seafood I have EVER had!!

In Boston you should walk around the customary public Gardens or Fanueil hall. . . .some romantic eating places interior the North end for sturdy italian nutrients. . . .in case you prefer to pass to a bar, attempt bars around Quincy marketplace section, like the Bell In Hand. . . .Cheers isn't something yet an overpriced vacationer seize, via fact it would not even look something like the tutor, etc. there is likewise some sturdy places around the water front, like Tias.

In Providence, you may want to check out a couple places on Federal Hill (their Little Italy)
Cassarino's has great Italian food, with all but a few entrees below $20. They cater to larger groups and are a lot of fun

Andino's on Atwells Ave. It's a small place, but it's awesome old-school Italian food. The owner wanders around making sure everyone is happy, Frank Sinatra is most likely playing, and their red sauce is like Nonna used to make! It's a lot of fun and worth checking out. They're prices alone make it worth the trip

As for Boston, I agree about Grotto - one of my more recent favorite places to go, but may be a little pricey for you.
The North End is loaded with great places worth checking out (I seem to be on an Italian food kick!), including
Rabia's (Salem St)
Riccardo's (Northern Ave)
Cibo's (Hanover St)
All offer great pasta dishes, and are moderately priced.
