I am 14 years old. 60 inches. and 122 pounds. I am diabetic(If that has anything to do with it.) My dad has a portable blood pressure tester and it said mine was 145/102. i am just concerned if that is good or bad because of my previous question.

145/102 is high for 14 years old. Take it again while you are sitting down and resting, and make sure the cuff is big enough for your arm. If it's still over 140/90, you should see a doctor about this.

To be honest with you this is bad, I mean sure I've seen worse' but givin the fact that you are a diabetic this scares me a bit. Now is this only one reading? cause lot's of time's or actually all the time thru the day your blood pressure changes' during sleep' when your playing with friends' sport's etc. What I would recomend for you is to take your blood pressure daily' write down your reading's and try to do this at the same time everyday, so let's say you take it at 10am on a monday' well on tuesday take it again at 10am' and do this for about a week, by the end of the week you should know if you need to go see a doctor. Also have your parents spoke to you about high blood pressure? Good Luck Penelope

For you that might be normal. What's your blood pressure been in the past? My normal blood pressure is similar to yours (so is my sisters and mothers) - it's your norm. So if during your pregnancy your blood pressure goes up to say 120/80 etc.. your blood pressure could be considered high for your body.

I have no idea if diabetes affects your blood pressure, but those numbers are terribly high, especially for someone your age. I would assume you're under the care of a doctor, so I'd be making an appointment quick smart.

The later bp sounds much better. The higher pressure would really be bad for someone at rest. The latest opinions seem to be that your bp should be as low as possible without making you weak.

140 is the low limit for high systolic blood pressure, and I believe that 100 is the low limit for diastolic pressure. You should see a doctor to address these issues.

at your age, that blood pressure is dangerously high. And it is more than likely associated with your diabetes. You need to see a doctor.
