What kind of stamp pad will give me a nice opaque stamp that comes out solid, not spongy?

I need a shade of brown if that's pertinent. :)

Also, is there some way to get ink on the stamp other than using a stamp pad? Stamp pads aren't giving me a nice stamp.

What kind of paint?

You can apply ink or paint directly onto the stamp with a small paintbrush.

i use markers i scribble on the stamp then press it on what i am wanting to stamp works well
