This is a touchy subject, but a good one. I have seen many of my gay friends receive ridicule and torture for their sexuality, so much that they have wanted to kill themselves. It is sad, but true. I think it could possibly work and some would be happy to take it.
I think the best thing they could do would be a pill that gave understanding. Maybe a multi-vitamin that gave understanding for race, color, religion, ethnic origin, social and economic standings. Wow! Now that is a pill. the idea that everyone is different and that it is ok put into a pill form, think of the possibilities. We could change the world, with no side effects!

If people are genuinely sick, with cancer for instance, they are not forced to take any form of medication or treatment unless they have been sectioned in which case it is because they cannot make an informed decision.
If someone wants to take this pill of yours, they have the right to but they cant be forced to take to, so legally, it couldnt happen. And if we change the law, it makes us pretty awful people.
As for whether it should be on the NHS... well, we cant pay for breast cancer drugs currently.

NO - part of the joy of living in this world is that we are all different. It's just a shame about the minority of ignorant, intolerant, immature idiots out there that think unless someone is 'like them' there's something wrong.
These narrow minded people need to have more social interaction with any 'unfamiliar' groups in society to see that we are all skin & bone with feelings that get hurt, whatever the colour of skin, sexual orientation, disability etc
So in short - No, keep society as diverse as it is.

why would i want to change everything that makes me who i am today?..if ther was a pill it would just strip me of what makes me unique..i got my fathers traits my mothers genes and I am proud to be me..i would not change anything about me to satisfy some ediotic idea that str8 people have that i should be NORMAL..why should i? even if there was a pill I wouldn't take it because I know there aint nothing wrong with being who I am..my mom and dad had me and they loved each other so i am born out of love..my family accepts me so I am surrounded by love..my girl accepts me with all my flaws and imperfections so I am very much loved..tell me why would I take a pill to change anything when i am soo very happy where I am??..nope if there was one I wouldn't even dream of taking it..maybe I will alter it and make str8 people turn gay..lol

And if a pill was invented that could turn bigots and other haters into loving, kind Christian people, should they be made to take it?
Or would they prefer suppositories?

No. That would be highly unethical. Homosexuality is not a social problem and is of no consequence to anybody else.
Like shinyshiny33, I'm glad I'm gay. It has given me the passion to fight for minorities other than my own and other vulnerable people, too.

I don't speak for anyone but myself with this next statement but if anyone wants to agree with me, by all means: You would have to murder me, unclench my jaws, and slingshot that pill into my mouth which by then, the whole point of it would be useless. Not hating on you, just giving an honest answer.

You can't make a person take a pill for anything. Pills have side effects, pills can kill you. I would never take a pill to be heterosexual, because it'd probably make me depressed that I can't be myself and it'd have other side effects that I wouldn't like.

I felt like you referred to entire the homosexual community as an animal in your question. "Should we force them to take a pill?" Sorry, I found that a bit offending. Not only am I confident in myself, there's no "treatment" for being homosexual. We live normal lives like anyone else.

i dont think they would be made to take it but i think that th people that are still in the closet and wish they were like everyone else would take it. Especially the ones who get picked on, mistreated, and shuned byt there parents and peers would take it.
