I don't know the exact quote but I'm almost positive it came from him. I've looked through everything and cant find it at all. It basically says convictions aren't something that we should admire or want, rather the ability to let go of our convictions is the admirable quality. I'm pretty sure it was a short seperated aphorism, not in a larger section (although I could be wrong seeing as I read through all the aphorisms about 10 times trying to find this.) If anyone could help me locate the quote it would be greatly appreciated.

How about:

"Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies."
- Human, All-Too-Human, #483

And there's also:

"Men of conviction are not worthy of the least consideration in fundamental questions of value and disvalue. Convictions are prisons."
- The Anti-Christ, #54

It's actually that section 54 that you're probably thinking of, because he goes on to say:

"Freedom from all kinds of convictions, to be able to see freely, is part of strength."

I couldn't copy the quote from this page, but if you go to the link and do a find for conviction I think you will find the quote you are looking for... :o)
