I graduated with electrical and comp engineering degree last december , as per my parents wishes , and since i hated it , i didn't go looking for any job in that field , instead i was working in a call center in newyork , till 3 days ago when they told me i took too many sick leaves .

Now i am ready , think
I wanna make more money ,

but better things ,
i wanna be independent from my parents .
( i think the reason why i never got a job in this field was because of the constant nagging , even when they knew this isn't what i really wanted to do ) .

thing is i dn't have any experiences , but can i Substitute the fact that i dn't have any " engineering " internships experiences with the fact that i have done some " Projects " and " Assignments " in School ? does that make any sense?

First off don't get into this field just for the money. It's a nice bonus but it doesn't make getting up to go to work anymore fun each day.

Projects are a plus, Assignments not so much. Just make sure you spin them to show what you can do. Don't just say I have designed 100's of circuits in school. We (EE's) all have done that. Mention a few specific projects that presented challenges and what you were able to do to overcome these. (e.g. Designed and developed a communication interface using Bluetooth technology, presented results to a faculty panel, etc...) Also use your call center experience to show you are personable yet able to work on your own.
