It is possible to pull off a robbery with anything, if you go into a bank and demand money, they will give it too you, while they are pressing the silent alarm. And there is usually always a police officer patrolling around the areas where banks are, so the chances of you getting away are very slim, and you would be going to prison, as robbing a bank is a federal offense.

I used to work security at a major bank chain and had access to all of the banks videos. I once say an 87 year old woman whom the bank had thrown out of her house. She came into the bank handed a teller a note saying this is a robbery. Then she asked the teller if she was doing this right. After her court case she was put into an institution where everything is free. So anything is possible.

All you have to do is tell them it is a robbery and you want the money and they have been instructed to give it to you. Of course, you WILL get caught.
