Oh, Honey, both can be breath-taking! Fields planted with crops that will provide for families, or perhaps some wonderful person has sown them in wild flowers, and native flora. The mountains prove that the earth doesn't need us to keep taking our breaths away with each sunrise or sunset! I don't think I could decide between the fields or the mountains...it's just too hard a choice!!!!

I moved from Texas to North Dakota 2 yrs ago and I see fields everywhere. This state has less people in it then my home town of Austin. That being said all there is are fields as far as the eye can see. You drive over 100+ miles to a "major town" and there are only 7 in this state (fargo, bismarck, minot, grand forks, jamestown, mandan and dickinson) and all you see is crop fields, elk farms, feed lots. True planted fileds are lovely espeically the sunflower and flax fields but I'd rather see mountains. Mountains can be breath taking fields are rather boring. There is a place here in ND called "white earth" its lovely its not fields nor mountains its hills red hills and its breath taking. But to me home is Tx and there is nothing like the city lights of austin!

IMHO Mountains. Much more interest there. There are very few viewing areas of fields.
