I avoid freeways when I can.
I don't drive at night much.
I don't worry about the scent of a skunk. Too many skunks, too little time.

A freeway is the only way. I have zero patience for doddling along the byways and frontage roads. I like to drive fast, want to get where I am going in the shortest time possible.
Once in awhile I like to explore down side roads I havent been on before, but its not often.
Sadly I am not comfortable driving at night anymore, I do it, but not was comfortably as I once did, and when driving at night I prefer the freeway. I see halos around lights, early cataracts, dont want to think about that though

I tend to yes. If there's some other way to get there, I take
it. I take the back roads a lot. If the traffic is backed up on the freeway, or interstate, then the back roads can be quicker. I won't drive on I-95 and I avoid the beltways.
I don't like to drive at night either.

I used to take a back route to my daughters but that is messed up now as someone crashed into the bridge and it is down to 1 lane. The freeways to her place are all under construction so I avoid going when the rush is on. No night driving anymore as my night eye is no good. The back roads here are all push n shove anymore and you can't really go slow to look at the good stuff.

Show me a freeway and I am on it...even on my motorcycle. Funny thing about those cycles...other people, driving on a freeway, assume that anyone on a motorcycle on a freeway is NUTS!! So they avoid me like a plague, openings just appear from no where, and cars pull over to get out of the idiot's way! Motorcycles get you there quickly on a freeway, that is for sure !

I have no choice. I live in a city and work in a country setting, so I have to use them. All my in-laws live 2 hours away. Sometimes we'll take back roads, but for the most part we need to use the highways. I avoid driving at night as much as possible, since my night vision has always been bad.

i don't avoid freeways and prefer the back roads but the other drivers are a bit scary! too many cell phones, too many kids distracting 'interactive' nurturing parents (who also just happen to be drivers of 1/2 ton moving objects) and the only thing between me and on-coming traffic is a 6 inch wide line painted on the ground. no thanks!
as for night drives, only when i have to.

right it is a tip. you're much less in all probability to have an accident on freeways or highways than in city streets with a great form of alerts and intersections. the two substantial destructive factors to observe out for on freeways are: a million. site visitors has by surprise stopped in front of you. (fantastically risky in moist climate) once you be taught to sidestep those destructive factors, you would be fairly risk-free on any constrained-get entry to highway. 2. somebody changing lanes into the comparable lane you're changing to. occurs whilst there are 3 or extra lanes on your element.
