I would suggest you get a travelodge in or round Liverpool ( 45 quid a night or 26 quid a nigh if you pre book on special offer) and take a cab in the morning.

John Lennon airport does open all night but I dont think you want to stay in the airport overnight. it is just unsafe for various reasons and you dont want to get sick before your holiday. Moreover you luggages might get stolen if you fell asleep. I hate to give a low blow, but you are in liverpool after all.

Leeds mickey is wrong

JLA (Liverpool John Lennon Airport) is open at night, but the bars and cafes areas are not.

Its a modern building, only a couple of years old, so why he thinks its ugly I have no Idea, maybe Leeds Bradford is the architectural equivalent of the Guggenheim.

There are hotels near to the airport, the Liverpool Marriott south, Holiday Inn express even a B&B, so you may find them more comfortable to get some sleep before your flight.

Yes its open all night there are some shops and a cafe to get a coffee but some shut at a certain time and don't open again until the morning, id take a book with you if you read as it can get a bit boring there and a jacket , it has to be one of the coldest airports I've been in.

The airport is open, but the cafes and shops are closed. Why dont you get an earlier train and book in the Marriot hotel for a good night, which is by the airport.
