Yes that is correct. It is the Application fee to get a work permit Visa in the United states.
I recently brought my friend from Indonesia to Canada (my home) to work for me, and his application fee was also $150.00

that sounds about what it sould be -- heck i have to pay almost 100 for a permit to travel to your country!!!
