They are both true, moon and sun sign. The sun sign is your self and the moon sign is your emotions.

well as some of the others posts have mentioned, the sun represents your soul, moon represents your heart an so on. the reason people often give sun sign readings is because that is what you want. how you get what you want can make things very different from others with the same sun sign as you. the face you show to the world, your reaction in situation etc.. all add up to make a different and unique character in your society. the chances of 2 people being exactly the same is very low, however it isn't impossible. twins often act and behave in the same way, however even they are different even if its slightly. 2 people from 2 different countries wont have similar characteristics because of their location, the planets and the sun are in different positions at different times of the day.

The sun sign is more public
The moon sign is more personal and private

Both of them are true but I have found for accuracy moon sign are better and this is my personal opinion
