I really can't understand why people are getting so upset at Marbury for his comments on Michael Vick. I mean he is right. If Michael Vick went on a hunting trip and shot a deer, there would be no issue. And it is the SAME THING. In both cases, you are killing an animal. Who cares about the means. Whether you shoot a deer or take a dog and tie to a tree, beat it and eventually drown it, in the end you have killed an animal. And it really is a sport. I mean they show hunting as a sport. The act of hunting game & Killing animals, and it is considered a sport. So this is killing animals, why is this not a sport? Not to mention those nature shows. You know how brutally a leopard kills a zebra? But do you see them on trial or being exterminated because of their cruelty? NO!!! So why are we putting Vick on trial? I think that Vick is a trail blazer and I applaud Marbury for coming out and recognizing that.

If you believe a word of what you wrote then you are obviously a misguided soul. More likely you are just hoping to rile up some people and get some angry responses to your idiotic statement. There's not a word of truth in your entire story and nobody with common sense can compare hunting wild animals to brutally killing a pet. I guess there's no difference if you die of a heart attack or are shot dead by your dad...true either way you are dead, but only one is the natural way...no not the gunshot you simpleton.

You obviously dont know anything about dogfighting or psychology. When you hunt a deer you kill it quickly and then eat the meat. You dont torture the deer for money or badly injure it, and then brutally kill it because it wasnt big enough. There is a HUGE difference. Almost every serial killer started off taking aggression out on animals. A person who is brutal to animals has mental problems and it means they dont have a normal regard for life. Please dont say stuff like this in public if your over 12years old. If your 12 and younger maybe people will let you pass because your ignorant. If your older you are still ignorant, but If your a grown man then you should assess yourself and find out why you feel this way, because you have mental issues. There is a reason that it is illegal. Sometimes in dog fights the intestines will actually hang out of the dogs as they are fighting. Blood is everywhere. How can a humane person cheer this on and get money from this.? They cant. Stephon was totally wrong with his statement.

The only thing that dog fighting and hunting have in common is that they are both cruel.
The last time I checked people in this country are allowed to get hunting licenses "LEGALLY" and none of the animals they hunt are house hold pets ( Deers, bears, cougars etc. )
As for dog fighting it's "ILLEGAL" and dogs are considered house hold pets and man's best friend.
As for the zebras, leopards, and the other wild game you mentioned they are big game sport hunting that is not done in the US. You really can't use this as an example.

They're being racist. Just because a black person like Marbury is sticking up for his fellow black friend, Vick, doesn't mean everyone should hate on him. First off it wasn't even Vick's fault. He just happened to own a piece of property that the dogfighting is happening on. Michael Vick's still a G. What is also really interesting is that down in Mississppi, there are Mexicans that hold huge cockfights where the roosters literally tear eachother apart with their sharp claws. And, the cops and media don't even care. Well, that's America.
Mike Vick's still a G.

Because it is illegal and so is running a gambling ring. Hunting is not illegal. If you think that hunting should be illegal, then take it up with your congressman. You would also have to stop eating any sort of meat or wearing any product that uses any part of an animal.
A dog is far and away the most valued pet in the US, and they maintain a certain special status whether right or wrong.

Because for one it's coming form Starbury's mouth and we all know Starbury doesn't say the smartest things. If this was coming from someone with some creds mouth it would be a whole new story. But the reason people are beefing with Starbury is because how he said it. Don't get me wrong, some of the people are ignorant on the whole subject. But what Starbury said actually has a point. ESPN shows deer hunting and fishing on their own programs. So they are not all for PETA people. But once Vick does this they are totally against Vick and anyone who is for him is stupid. That's completely wrong. Either be completely against Vick ESPN which would be no animal cruelty at all, or don't say anything about how bad animal cruelty is.

There is no comparison between dog fighting for profit and deer hunting for food and recreation. Furthermore, The deer population if not controlled poses a high safety risk for motorists. Marbury is a "Bonehead".
