Worse in some ways:
Health care costs
Medication costs
Insurance costs
With what the get from Social Security, some can barely make ends meet.
Better: More knowledge of medicine
More conveniences...washer,dryer,indoor bath,TVs,
Closer neighbors,Ems,push button phones,etc
Yet, all these except the neighbors cost them, so I guess I'll still say worse.

Seniors in high school, college or older people? I'll pick older people and tell you that most of them barely make ends meet. I know older people who go dumpster diving for cans to sell to help buy food because even if the only income they have is social security they don't qualify for state help like foodstamps or if they do it's something like 10 bucks! That is ridiculous!

Senior citizens? Not at all. They can't stand rap and the foul language in our society today. They didn't have to worry about that back then.

So many of our elders have to spend a fortune on medicine. Its a toss up between food and medication for some. Until our health care sees some changes I say they have it worse.
