Sydney airport....?

Question

what do you think it's better? I arrive at 8.30 pm at Sydney airport and I have to wait till 7.30 am to get the plane to Hobart...
Do you think it's better to book an hotel or an hostel close to the airport or I can sleep there? it's safe? I'll be very tired, I have almost 20 hours of flight from italy till sydney, so maybe it's better to book a room...isn't it?

You will have to leave the airport as it closes after 11pm - there are a couple of options for accommodation nearby - I wouldn't bother going into the city as you will worry that you will either sleep in and miss your flight to Hobart or the train will be late and you will be running late. Accommodation near the airport is fine - can only recommend the Stamford as that is the only one that I have stayed in and they do wake up calls and have a free shuttle to the airport

There are various hotels near the airport including a Hilton and a Travelodge. All provide shuttles to and from the airport, wake-up calls, early breakfasts etc. After a 20 hour flight, I expect you really won't want to spend time looking at Sydney's nightlife. If you do want to go out then book a hotel in the city - they also provide shuttles to the airport.

There is no longer a Hilton at Sydney Airport. It is now called Mercure Sydney Airport. There best way to book a room online is through wotif.com.au
