I.e a friend of mine asked me why is it that her ex keeps bashing her over the head with cruel, and nasty words? my reply was... when he stops hurting, i wish i had never said that she feels i was a little abrupt with the answer i gave.

Do you think i was abrupt with my answer?

I always say the first thing that pops into my head. So most of my answers are taken as abrasive and abrupt. Sometimes people need to hear the truth. You can't feel guilty about that.

Usually after coming back from the pub around 12. I cringe the next day when I read over them. I try to answer loads of questions so they are not visible on my home page. Sorry!.

Yes, I often regret the comments I make that I realise are insensitive and negative. But I know that I'll later have an opportunity to make up for it with a good positive comment later.

If it would make you feel better, you could perhaps ring her up and tell her how you feel. I'm sure that will make her feel good to have a friend who is honest, and whole-hearted.

Depends what mood you were in really ! Must of caught you on an off day. Just apologise she'll understand if she's that close a friend.

No, sometimes its better for someone to hear the truth that way. Its offensive at first but they will reflect on it later.

I'm normally measured with what i say so no.

I'd be more concerned that your answer actually makes no sense.

If you do feel guilty though, just apologise. Things like this are easily resolved with a quick 'sorry'.

you could have been more atriculate so appear that you cared for your friend, but in that process, the crux of the adice would have died... I feel you have precisely exact words required...

I think things out as well as I can......I will not hurt someone, but my friends know I talk straight to them.
