I am about to purchase a ps3 and was wondering if there was any owners or previous owners who have had any problems with them?
Only because i had an xbox 360 (and a brand new replacement) which did nothing but breakdown

Join the club. I've just sent my 360 back to Microsoft and will have to wait months for it to be fixed.
Cheers Bill Gates!! You just sit in your ivory tower, using my hard-earned cash as toilet paper whilst I sit an look at my collection of xbox 360 games that I can't play for the next few months. Can't wait to get my pre-ordered Halo 3 on the day of release next month - oh wait, I wont be able to play it.

I used to have a PS3 and the only problem was really long loading times. I thought it was a fault but have since found out that is is normal for BLURAY discs.
Have since traded it in for a 360, and must admit that my mates were right, it is a lot better than the PS3 even though i refused to belive it!

I've had mine since launch and its been fine and i've not heard of any major problems like the 360s ring of death.
