Non profit my eye. Universities are pulling in so much money that is a great question why they aren't listed in the stock exchange. Everything to do with Universities is big business from the tuition to textbooks there is so much price gouging it is insane. I would love to find Universities on the stock exchange because they would definitely be a great investment because they own people due to 'necessity' of a college degree. It's no wonder they call my degree a BS because that's exactly what it is, BS.

There are no mainstream universities on the stock exchanges because they are non-profit institutions rather than corporations.

Non are listed, except the online ones. Universities are funded by the states, federal government, contributions to their foundations from alumni, corporations, government and non profit agencies, and tuition and fees. They dont make money, they consume it.
