My son didn't sleep well in his crib. He was about 16 or 17 mo old when we finally took him out of the crib and put him in a twin sized bed. We skipped the toddler bed because it's the same uncomfortable mattress. He started sleeping better on his first night! Aside from that, if you don't let her learn to put herself back to sleep it's never going to stop. It becomes habit very quickly and learning to go back to sleep on their own is incredibly important. Will leaving a sippy with water in it help her? My suggestion would be to not instantly run in there. Give it 3-5 min to see what happens. Then instead of picking her up and rocking her etc, offer her a sippy with water or a back rub, but don't pick her up. Perhaps soft music playing will help soothe her when she wakes up. Is there a nightlight in there? Eventually, she'll realize that she just has to roll over and go back to sleep and will understand that she isn't going to get what she wants. It's going to be hard but you've got to do what's best for her which is making sure she learns how to put herself back to sleep.

If you feel she should be asleep, tell her not to worry about time in other countries and have a hot bath...it always helps me sleep, as does a hot chocolate made with warm milk. By the way...it is now 10.18pm here...Qld. Have a good night.
