I wake up and put the news on and the top story is still Michael Vick! The rest of the world is in turmoile, there is flooding in Europe, there are earthquakes and wars and the only thing the US cares abotu is if this super star will be guilty and go to jail and if he will ever play football again!!! If you know me you know im a football junkie i cant get enough BUT seriously the news should be devoted to real news not the top story on him! Anyone else this is agravating!

I hear ya g/f. I love football more than most guys I know....but enough is enough.....It amazes me the things the American media focuses on....while the paparazzi were busy chasing down Paris when she was going back and forth to jail......roughly 100 soldiers - Coalition forces - were killed in Iraq.....THAT should've been the top story....but it wasn't :(

Why do we put up with this?

I really do worry about America because of things like this. We are getting a bit of stuff like that Down Under, but fortunately it's at the end of the news, not the whole of it as I suspect it often is with you. Many Americans I've spoken to here say that they were fed only inconsequential stuff from their local area and little of the rest of the world. Maybe there's so much going on over there that earns a lot of money that they haven't time to broadcast anything else.
But no, I'm not aggravated, just concerned.

Frankly, I find the Vick stories a bit of a relief from the approximately five-year onslaught of Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan stories, which I cannot believe would be thought interesting by anyone over the age of 15 or possessing an IQ over 60. That's just me, though.

What amazes me was some of the professional athletes who were interviewed said that they didn't think it was right he was in trouble, and it was "just a sport."
That is a sign of the impending apocalypse, I'm pretty sure.
That and the fact I started the day with a violation notice for merely answering a question. Yeah, I'm aggravated today.

If ANYONE accuses me of GETTING aggravated AGAIN, I'll punch their lights out!!! lol

...No seriously; I know exactly what you mean, life's trivial stuff is often so inappropriate with all the suffering being endured.
We in the Western World can be very shallow at times. x

I agree with you. I live near Atlanta and its everywhere. I think his "plea bargain" was way too light and I will think a lot less of the Falcons if they allow him to play again. I don't think that much of them anyway, they are terrible.
