Can I install a graphics cards on my laptop and have it work along with the onboard one?

Sorry but what you want is so easy to do on a desktop but impossible on a laptop.

No you can not install a new graphics card into a laptop.

Only if your laptop has a PCi-e or AGP slot for inserting such a card. 99.9% of laptops on the market do NOT have that ability. Probably the major downback with a laptop, there is no room inside the case to add any additional hardware.

It won't work along-side your onboard one, you can use one or the other at any given time.

Some newer desktop computers allow use of two or more Pci-E cards at any given time, but as far as I know this is not possible in a Laptop.

Not unless you have a very very expensive laptop but even then it would not work with the onboard one

it is possible to install 2gpus. i just don't think you're able to do it
