A contentious question, but at the very least the McCanns were naive in their care of Madeline.
Its a strange case.

i wouldnt let them look after my plants never mind my precious children, they are a disgrace, if they hadnt been doctors and had been people off a housing estate their other 2 kids would have been removed by social services by now

my children are my life and i wouldn't trust anyone to babysit them...my mam and my sisters are the only ones i use in times of emergencies

They dont understand babysitters. So no. After all the hotel provided a babysitting service that they choose not to use.
