I am just about to move to oz (whipee) and I am taking my pc and laptop. What Should i consider b4 i plug it in. I know the voltage is different over there but do i need a new psu and is there anything else.

look at your power supply some power supply have an auto voltage feature. look at its label, or look if you can see a switch which have a selector of voltage. if it doesnt have a feature like this you need to buy a power supply for you pc. on your laptop most charger of laptops are auto voltage. look at the label of the charger.

Not sure where you're coming from, but I returned to Australia from the US and all that was needed for my PC was a new power supply, and the voltage on my HP laptop covered 240 so I cut off the ground, and bent the two pins to fit in the socket here. No problems with them 2 years later :)
