Now my salon said im too young?!?

i wanted to get my nails done..but i cant cos my mum called them that im too young to get my nails done (im going to be 14 in 5 days)..I got false nails..Gosh i was so upset . Do u think im TOO young..and share your story(anything about nails) if you want . Many thanks xx

i have my own false nails packet now.. yes i am trying to stop bitin my nails!! I hate my salon not my mum! That lady who works in salon talked to my mum (my mum called her) and that lady said that i am too young and she doesnt want to harm my natrual nails..I dont understaand why does that lady CARES!!!!!!
I shouldnt have liked her from day one!

I did it to make my hands look nice! my hands look SO UGLY. =(

Well, you are still a teenager and your mom did what she had to. Because she thinks it is the best for ya. To get false nails - damageful. Think about your future when your nails will look as terrible as some old woman's nails, who has been all of her life working in some garden or whatsoever :)
Talk to your mum and argument why you want or need those false nails.

I don't know if it is a question of age, still, the fact remains: false nails harm your natural nails.
they get soft, do not grow regularly (if at all), and the glue is... can't even say it without shuddering.

Girl, you should really stop biting nails - you're strong enough. I was strong enough, and at your age, my hands looked terrible. From 16 on, I had the strongest and longest nails in all school - so can you. Just say to yourself: "No, I won't bite anymore!"
Today, my nails are still long, growing some 5 mm every week. Not shortening them once a week, I really am in trouble...

Oh Gosh, that's horrible! I've been getting fake nails since I was 11! You really need to talk to your mom. Tell her that false nails are WORSE than getting it done at a salon.

14 .. thats not young to have them done my friend is 13 and she has them done cant see why you cant!
thats out of order .. go to a different salon and see what they say
i bet ur hands aint horrible =) false nails okay . not bad but getting nails done properly i think u have to be 13 - 14-15 not sure

That's not very nice is it.

Try another salon and don't tell your mum. I wouldn't normally tell someone to keep secrets from their mum, but I really don't see the harm in it and it is not a danger to your health.

HOWEVER, if you think you may be punished for it, grounded or something, then don't do it. It's really not worth it and actually acrylic nails do damage your natural ones.

You may be, getting "false" nails does require some basic upkeep and a steady budget.. If you cannot afford the basic upkeep of the nails you could get a really nasty fungal infection.. Since the nails HAVE to be clipped/filled about every 2 weeks.. If you miss or don't have the funds to pay for that service you could have some problems.. So, start getting some saving for your nail fund and buy a certificate or a re-loadable VISA/MASTERCARD so that you have enough money to keep the nails.... Good luck

Since you are almost in high school I don't see a problem, However I am pretty sure your mom has plenty of reasons for not wanting to let you get them done.. It starts the "aging" process, Girls grow up way too fast for their age nowadays! My mom didn't let me get anything like that done I had to wait til I was out of the house! Good Luck!

Mums right. I can assure you that if you are out to impress your friends fine if thats what you want , but if you are trying to look grown up will not. Look after your own nails and be proud of them, there are not many things nicer than your own well kept nails............ Is all this because you bite your own?

I think you are not old enough for fake nails!I don't want to sound jus like your mother but she 's right.If you want so much long nails just wait till they are quite long for your age..
I 1rst had long nails (not fake) when I was 15,5..Long nails are not handily at all.They brake easily and if you have fake nails you will have to go often for renewal.My advice is to wait for nails to grow.And your mother probably won't have any problem

i dont thin kyou are too young who cares your nails grow back . try another salon go to the mall there are nail places in there. everytime i get my nails done the vietnamese women talk to eachother but they do it whispering and i always think they are talking to me instead of eachother. i dont know HOW they can hear eachother whispsering lol !
