I agree with you. I am so tired of looking at questions to see all the vulgarity, put-downs, etc. A person is asking a question and is seeking an answer. If a person doesn't like the question, then he/she needs to move on. For those who keep abusing YA, they need to be removed but that has proven to be hard as they come back on under "new accounts" and the abuse just keeps on continuing.

Its a frame of mind, some think its cool or funny to do this. They hate the world or themselves or certain way of doing things. So they strike out. It leads back to how one is brought up. If one doesn't agree with their way of thinking, then your the reason I am this way. Never looking at themselves they are victim's and can not see it any other way, or don't want to for that matter.
For these people they will not change for years or it will take something very serious in their life to affect them to finally open their eyes.
Solution: well I don't think their is one.
You cant fix someone Else's wound, you can only put a bandage on it and cover it up.
The hope is they will see this and try something different in their life.

I definately agree that the abuse is way out of hand. If a person asks a question its obviously important to them and people shouldnt put others down by responding nasty. Its a waste of their time and ours and sometimes people say things that even make others quite upset. If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. But I guess some people are crazy and like to pump themselves up by being nasty to others which to me is pathetic. We ask questions on here to find answers, not to be ridiculed!

The abusive answers and questions are definitely getting out of hand. What I feel needs to occur is to STOP ignoring said abuse and start reporting it.

I agree, so many answers are abusive, but then so many questions are just ridiculous. I think people just get fed up. I know I'll go check out what I think is a legitimate question and find out it's a load of....
Some question as well are only posted to get people riled up, they expect abuse or crave it. Who knows?

Thats good question, and logically right, abuse is not the way of answer and its right its out of way, in this world all people have different minds, and views, so its not must that our thinking and the others must be same. so i think its better to leave them on their self.

Not like that, it is done to prevent future damage.
I mean to say will u be quiet if someone enters ur house and start destroying it?
The same is it here. If we think yahoo answers belongs to us then we would not let anyone to destroy it.
Moreover small children too use this site so it should be suitable to all.

Agreed. There are too many hotheads. This is the Internet, however, and not 'real life'. It seems more possible to express oneself aggressively and with hate in this media with impunity than it would do otherwise and in a 'real' situation.
