Whirlpool has been around forever and is as good as the next. People like the Ikea stores because they are affordable, contemporary and very stylish. It's a good place to start. They are well set up and offer design help.

I absolutely love my Whirlpool stovetop. It's black and flat and great for cooking and easy cleanup. I would never go back to my gas stove with messy grates.

My Whirlpool fridge is great quality too. You can buy Whirlpool at most stores that sell appliances including Sears.

I love Ikea - but you do have to assemble most of what you buy. That's the reason it's so inexpensive!

Whirlpool is an excellent brand and good value. I have used many of them -- refrigerator, washer and dryer -- for years with no problem. I believe they make a special series of their product just for IKEA that is not available elsewhere.

Probably one of the few things those clowns sell that doesn`t need to be assembled. Gotta love the counters tho, as long as you are 6'6" tall.
