I am a very hard worker. And I always give 100%. I've been with my company two years, and they've increased my pay by around £1100 since then.
My friend started here about 10 months ago, on the same salary I started on, and already she's on loads more than I am. Our manager (a female) absolutley loves her, and really favourites her. Just this morning she gave her a load of money vouchers because of some work she did.
The thing that upsets me is that I work so so hard and get nothing back. This is making me feel demotivated and NOT work hard.
What can I do??
PS: I can't just ask for a raise. They never ever give you one because you ask.

To quote Frank MCourt, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author: "Find what you love to do and do it." Your attitude that your work is pointless obviously carries over to your superiors. Sit down, determine what you would love to do with the rest of your life, and work toward accomplishing it. For you, this is a dead-end job.

If you really believe that your not getting what you should, then perhaps it is time to ask for a pay rise. Don't mention the the other person. Start looking for another job in the mean time, cause it is always good practice to do the odd interview now and then - it also gives you more options

You can either stay there and see where it leads for you OR you can run upto your boss with your lipstick and write "I quit you job sucks" on her forehead and dash back out of the office.
