I have this wet patch.... no matter what I do..... its always wet. I have tried using various tools on it, just seems to make it worse, I put stuff on it, stuffed and filled it....still its wet.....? Can you help me?

..........

Its about half way up the kitchen wall, and causing the plaster to break.... there is no logical reasson as to why its so wet?

try giving it an air. open the curtains and let some air flow through and maybe that will dry it out a bit. dont use any tools or stuff it with anything for the next few days. if it starts to smell.....then there may be a serious problem

Sounds like you need to get plastered again for starters. Don't get despondent and give up, just keep banging away and, who knows, perhaps something will come of it. At the end of the day, these things often solve themselves; things often dry up as age sets in - just wait and see.

Try leaving it alone for a few days. No tools, No stuffing things in it and i`m sure it will soon dry up. Good luck! Ha! Ha!

This might be a long shot - but have you thought about having a tradesman paste in your back passage?
Moisture may be coming from that direction, especially as you highlight the problem as being in the kitchen.

There's nothing wrong with a wet patch...! If you start messing about with it it will only get wetter..!

My advice would be to just wipe it gently...!

maybe it's down to an age thing hun?/.. As things get older and more worn out, they do tend to leak and smell. Sometimes people go for drastic changes - ie repair work to fill n tighten any spots but i recommend that you just try to pat it dry
